Mediation Company – Legal or Social Work Internship
UK (Virtual Internship)
Mediation and legal services
Observing family mediation sessions – Interns will be expected to observe and, if asked, to take part in client meetings. Note taking during sessions will also be required. Please note, client work is confidential and is sometimes distressing.
Mini-Project Management – Interns will be allocated a mini-project of their own to manage. The nature of this will be discussed and agreed on before commencement. The intern will be asked to give regular updates to management on a weekly basis.
Research – There may be specific research projects within specific legal areas.
Social Media - There will be an opportunity to create content and posts for our main social media channels: twitter, Facebook and Instagram (which we have not used yet!).
Blog Writing - Training will be provided on using WordPress, which is widely used for company websites and blogs. The intern will have the opportunity to write blog posts that link to our SEO plan. Feedback will be provided on written English and content.
Attendance at staff meetings – The intern will be invited to attend weekly online staff meetings.
Further and exact tasks will be tailored to the intern's abilities and interests.
The learning outcomes for the intern will be closely monitored. After initial training, and on the platforms used, I will monitor their performance each week and organise additional support where required to boost confidence and knowledge in whatever areas are needed.
