Pune is nestled in Maharashtra, the prosperous state which has
Mumbai (Bombay) as a capital. Pune is the second town in Maharashtra,
roughly 200 kilometers south-east of Mumbai. This city has a
population of over 4.5 million inhabitants. It has a very pleasant
climate almost through the year, except during the summer months
of April and May, when temperatures can reach 40°C. Monsoon,
from July to September, is usually moderate, leading to cool
days and nights (around 26°C).
Pune has many names, from the "Cultural Capital of the
state" to the "Oxford of the East". Indeed Pune
is a premier seat for some of the oldest and finest universities
in the country. You will find so a lot of students in the city
and the most important number of foreigners while experiencing
the night life in the numerous restaurants and bars in Pune.
Finally, you will find a lot of cultural events within the city,
like the Film festival. Pune offers all the varieties of food
you can find in India, from the North India meet-oriented meals
to the spicy dosais and idlis from the South, along with typical
marahashtrian Thali.
The IT sector is thriving in Pune, sometimes called "the
little sister of Bangalore", as long as the automotive
sector, making the city a businesswise city.
Where to eat:
Everywhere in town you will find easily restaurants, even if
you will find traditional food at JM (Jungli Maharaj) Road and
more international high-price food in Koregeon Park. Restaurants
are usually open for lunch from 11am to 3pm and dinner time
will last from 7pm to 11pm. For Alcohol, you will find many
Beer and wine shops, and we encourage you to taste the nascent
Indian wines, coming from vineyards near Pune.

Puneites love to party. You will find a lot of pubs, lounge
bars and discos trendy, in Kalyani Nagar, Aundh or Koregeon
